Your Questions About How Does Reiki Attunement Work

Joseph asks…

What is reiki ?

frankp57 answers:

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an “attunement” given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” to improve one’s health and enhance the quality of life.

Its use is not dependent on one’s intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

Donald asks…

What is Reiki?

frankp57 answers:

Reiki is said to be a form of spiritual practice used as a complementary therapy for the treatment of physical, emotional, and mental diseases. Mikao Usui is said to have developed Reiki when, he claimed, he received the ability of ‘healing without energy depletion’ after three weeks of fasting and meditating on Mount Kurama, in Japan. Practitioners use a technique similar to the laying on of hands, which they say will “channel healing energy” (ki). Practitioners state that energy flows through their palms to bring about healing and that the method can be used for self-treatment as well as treatment of others.

Reiki teachings say that there is a universal “life force” spiritual energy, that can be accessed by practitioners to induce a healing effect. Believers say that anyone can gain access to this energy by means of an attunement process[15] carried out by a Reiki Master. According to the U.S. National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, there are researchers who have claimed to detect energy interactions between healers and those they treat, but these claims have not been validated. Such energy, if it exists, has no known theoretical or biophysical basis. The belief is that the energy will flow through the practitioner’s hands whenever the hands are placed on, or held near a potential recipient, who can be clothed. Some teachings stress the importance of the practitioner’s intention or presence in this process, while others claim that the energy is drawn by the recipient’s injury to activate or enhance the natural healing processes. Going further, the belief is that the energy is “intelligent”, making diagnosis unnecessary.

I ant To know About Reiki & Reiki Chakras and how to use Reiki ?

frankp57 answers:

Namaste!

If you Google “reiki” or “chakras” you will find tons of great information out there.

Reiki is a energetic healing system that works on clearing and balancing the bodies energies so that the body can heal itself. The Reiki practitioner goes through an attunement and training to learn how to channel chi/prana/ki (call it what you will) into a recipient, which provides them with clearance and large amounts of energy to address illnesses or imbalances. It’s actually quite simple to learn and use – but if you want to practice Reiki you WILL have to be attuned and training by a qualified Reiki Master.

Chakras are like intersections in your body’s energetic circulatory system. If you’ve ever seen a chart of the acupuncture points, those points are all technically chakras. But when most people say “chakra” they are referring to the 7 largest chakras on the body which run down the center line of the body. Chakras manage energy on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. They each have a large amount of correspondences that help a practitioner determine what areas of your health are being effected by the energy of a particular chakra.

Reiki works on the chakras as they are the main places where your body gives and takes energy. They also reflect your state of mind-body-spirit health. Reiki channels chi/ki/prana into these chakras where it is dispersed into your energetic circulatory system. The Reiki removes areas of blockage or stagnation, restores healthy flow, and provides extra energy to “charge up” the system, allowing it to function in a more balanced and energied way, which results in the body healing itself.

If you Google your area and the terms “reiki” and “chakras” you will likely find a practitioner or Master near you that can help you learn more about these topics. I teach online classes in both Reiki and Chakras, so if you want more info about those, you can message me directly.

Many blessings on your path!

difference between modern reiki &karuna reiki?

frankp57 answers:

“Modern Reiki”–I have not heard of this school of Reiki, sorry. But I know and can teach Karuna, so I’ll explain that and maybe it will help.
Karuna Reiki is an advanced form of Reiki, usually only taught to level 3 or masters of Usui Reiki. It involves different symbols than Usui, different attunements, different energy, and also toning (kind of like singing but not dependent on vocal quality). Karuna was invented by William Rand who keeps a tight rein on who teaches it and how–it’s extremely structured and controlled.

Richard asks…

i want to know the past present and future of Reiki . Can any one tell me ?

frankp57 answers:

Here is a link about Reiki’s history: http://www.reiki.org/FAQ/HistoryOfReiki.html from Reiki.org, William Rand’s organization which is where I received my attunements. Dr. Usui is credited with being its founder in Japan, and a woman named Mrs. Takata is credited with bringing it to the U.S. (Hawaii). Almost all Reiki Masters today in the U.S. Should be able to trace their lineage back to Mrs. Takata or they are probably frauds.

The future of Reiki is up to everyone who practices! :) I have been a Reiki practitioner since 1999 and have found several innovative uses. Giving distance Reiki has a lot of interesting applications: if you’re facing surgery, for example, you can give yourself distance Reiki at a future time and place! Another exciting application of Reiki is in ghost situations. Ghosts who are so unhappy, agitated, angry, etc. That they are causing objects to fly around can be helped using Reiki. Fun stuff! Blessings!
