Reiki Training

For anyone considering becoming a Reiki practioner it is imortant to know that the training is different for a complete beginner compared to someone who has previously been introduced to it. This article explains covers the first four steps of training so that any would-be practioner has an idea of what is involved.

Firstly, in other words, Level One, the Reiki instructor will introduce the student to the energy. This enables
the student to develop a relationship with energy itself and learn how to work with it. The student will learn how it feels in their own body and the effects on using it on themselves and any others.

Level One Reiki training is expected to last two days and during this stage you will learn about the four attunements. This should be enough time for you and your system to settle into its new space and after a cleansing period of about 21 days or so, your system should be free of any negative energy.

After completing Level One Reiki training, Level two Reiki training should be completed at least two months after completing Level One. During this time, it is anticipated that your vibration level should be much higher than it was previously.

As with Level One, this is also expected to be a two day training course. Level Two Reiki training should enable you to receive another attunement that will increases your vibration levels and ensure that you are familiar with three of the four Reiki symbols. Level Two training will teach you how to make each of these symbols work and after a couple of days, you will again need to embark on another 21 day cleansing period. This will remove any negative energy that you may have.

The majority of people stop at Level Two as they do not feel that they need to go beyond this level as they are satisfied with what they have alraedy learned. However, those who want to push on and even to those who have set their sets on some day becoming a master, they can continue to Level Three.

After completing both Levels One and Two Reiki training, it is recommended that you wait at least 6 to 12 months before you embark on Level Three training. When ready, another two day session will be needed so that the final attunement can be received. As with Levels One and Two, there is another 21 day cleansing period, during which time another Reiki system, like Seichim for instance, may be taught to help you through.

After successfully completing Levels One, Two and Three, we move forward to the fourth and final level which is designed to teach the student how to become both a master and a teacher. This will enable the former student themselves to teach those who want to learn about Reiki. This stage differs from the previous three in that you will be taught now from an instructor’s perspective.

Once at this stage you will be able to design your own lesson plans and manuals that you will then be able to distribute to your own students. You will also learn about the neccessary boundaries and ethics about being a Master Teacher. To check progress, you might even be given a test by creating a Level One training which you will then use to treat newcomers.

Reiki has progressed so much in recent years to the extent that Reiki training is now available in some teaching institutions. It is even possible to enrol in a home study course or, an online learning and long distance instruction. The important thing being is that you have to find the most suitable instructor that can teach you everything there is to know about this healing technique so you get off on the right foot and achieve the most out of the training provided.

If you do enrol on a classroom course there is no need to worry about it being crowded because class sizes are limited to 4 or 8 students. This will enable each student to receive individualised attention from the instructor as well as utilising the information found in the manuals that will be provided at the start of the class.

There are no limits on who can experience and embrace what Reiki training can do. Everyone is more than welcome. The important thing to remember is that you have to keep an open mind and allow the positive energy flow within you and cleansing yourself of the negative energies at the same time that fill your mind, body and soul.
